Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous skills, such as being able to act, direct, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories include attending play rehearsals as well as watching her mother's working. Anna was a part of numerous commercials as a young child. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, to pursue her acting. In the decade following, she relocated in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They were engaged by 2009, after they got married. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They got wed in a civil ceremony in December this year. They then reaffirmed their vows in a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011.
